The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provides customer service, and ensures the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter (OTC) products, following pharmacy protocols and legal requirements.
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers and patients, provide information on medications, and handle queries regarding medication use and side effects.
• Prescription Processing: Receive and verify prescription orders, including ensuring completeness and accuracy of medication orders. Enter prescription information into the pharmacy system and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and disposing of expired medications. Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Pharmacy Operations: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy, including adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including prescription and medication history.
• Insurance and Billing: Process insurance claims and manage billing procedures as necessary, including handling patient co-pays and reimbursement issues.
• Compliance: Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding medication dispensing and pharmacy operations. Ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
