- Machine operation: Programming and operating CNC machines, as well as other industrial machinery like grinders, hydraulic presses, and overhead cranes
- Machine maintenance: Performing basic maintenance tasks like replacing worn tools and lubricating mechanical components
- Quality control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and blueprints
- Process planning: Creating work plans to efficiently carry out daily machining
- Material handling: Loading and unloading materials, and planning stock inventory
- Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment by following company safety procedures
