Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to independently manage and execute compressor system packaging projects from start to finish. This role will oversee all aspects of project execution, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and system commissioning. The successful candidate will have substantial discretion and autonomy in their role, making key decisions to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution: Independently manage compressor system packaging projects from the receipt of customer purchase orders through to engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and system commissioning.
• Engineering Oversight: Lead the engineering phase, ensuring all technical requirements are met and that designs are accurate and feasible. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project specifications are adhered to.
• Procurement Management: Coordinate the procurement of materials and services. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and adherence to quality standards.
• Manufacturing Supervision: Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure that the compressor systems are built according to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• System Commissioning: Manage the commissioning process, ensuring all systems are tested and operational. Ensure that the final delivery meets customer requirements and performance standards.
• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the project. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address any issues that arise.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates on project status and address any questions or concerns.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare reports on project progress, performance metrics, and any deviations from the plan.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field). Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project engineering, with a proven track record of managing compressor system packaging projects or similar complex engineering projects.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of compressor systems, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Skills: Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Decision-Making: Ability to make independent decisions with substantial discretion and autonomy. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex project challenges.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
