Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic SEO Team Leader to oversee our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives for the US/ International market.
The ideal candidate will lead the SEO team, drive SEO strategies, and work closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure optimal online visibility.
This position requires in-depth SEO knowledge, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the US/ International digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the SEO team, guiding day-to-day activities, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to the US market to improve organic search rankings and traffic.
- Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices.
- Technical SEO - Oversee technical SEO audits and identify opportunities for site architecture, meta tags, sitemaps, schema markup, and more.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement technical optimizations like page speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawl efficiency.
- Content Optimization - Work with content teams to optimize website content, including blogs, landing pages, and product descriptions, based on keyword research and SEO best practices.
- Ensure the development of high-quality, user-centric, SEO-friendly content that aligns with both business objectives and search intent.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Create regular reports on SEO performance and communicate findings, progress, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
- Outreach & Link-Building
- Lead link-building campaigns, outreach efforts, and partnerships to acquire high-quality backlinks.
- Develop strategies for content promotion and digital PR to build authority and credibility. - Local SEO
- Optimize for local search with a focus on Google My Business, local citations, and US-based business listings to improve local rankings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in SEO, with a focus on the International market.
- 2+ years of experience in a team lead or managerial role.
- Total 5 to 6 years of Experience
- Expertise in keyword research, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and technical SEO.
- Proficiency in SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, etc.
- Strong understanding of US search behavior and trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO implementation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced US or international e-commerce or digital marketing environment.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in SEO processes.
- Experience with local SEO for US-based multi-location businesses.
