Position Details:


Job Role: Purchase Manager


Experience Required : 10-12 Years in purchase of Raw Material for pharmaceutical industries ( API ) from domestic and import from other countries. Also R & D related small quantity raw material import from China & other country.


Qualification: BSc/MSc Chemistry


Location : Vadodara, Gujarat



 

Job Description:


1. Procurement Management:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for pharmaceutical materials, including APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), excipients, and packaging materials.
  • Identify and source reliable suppliers/vendors that meet quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.


2. Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly based on quality, pricing, and delivery.
  • Resolve supplier issues and ensure continuous supply chain efficiency.


3. Cost Optimization:

  • Negotiate contracts to achieve the best possible terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
  • Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.


4. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Work closely with the production and inventory teams to determine material requirements.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of materials.


5. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all purchased materials comply with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.


6. Team Leadership and Training:

  • Supervise and guide the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provide training on procurement best practices and industry regulations.


7. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports, including cost analyses and budget reviews.
  • Use data insights to forecast procurement needs and plan accordingly.
