Job Description:
A project manager with expertise in EPC and oil and gas projects should have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, along with KSE approval. This role requires a dedicated professional who will be responsible for managing, planning, executing, and completing projects. They will collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and construction managers, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in country pipeline / flowline and service order projects and be capable of handling both office and site-based tasks. They must be able to perform under pressure and possess in-depth knowledge of pipeline construction, manifolds, skid and equipment installation, and brownfield projects. The candidate should excel in problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis. Additionally, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define the project scope and objectives. This includes understanding the requirements of the project stakeholders and developing a plan to achieve those requirements.
- Create a project schedule and budget. This involves estimating the time and resources needed to complete the project.
- Manage the project team. This includes assigning tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
- Communicate with stakeholders. This includes keeping stakeholders informed of the projects status and addressing their concerns.
- Manage risks. This involves identifying and mitigating potential risks to the project.
- Resolve problems. This includes identifying and addressing problems that arise during the project.
- Close out the project. This involves ensuring that the project is completed to the required standards and that all deliverables are met.
In addition to these responsibilities, project managers in the oil and gas industry must also have a strong understanding of the industry's regulations and safety standards. They must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment independently and as part of a team.
