Job Overview

We are seeking an INDIAN COOK COMMI I COMMI II to join our team in Vadodara. This is a full-time, junior-level position suitable for candidates with a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Indian cooking techniques and a keen attention to detail in food presentation.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of Indian spices and their usage in various dishes
  • Expertise in Indian cooking techniques including frying, grilling, and baking
  • Ability to prepare traditional Indian dishes such as curries, biryanis, and kebabs
  • Understanding of regional Indian cuisines and the unique flavors they offer
  • Experience in using a tandoor oven for baking and grilling purposes
  • Skill in making Indian breads like naan and roti
  • Knowledge of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes
  • Attention to detail in food presentation (Mandatory skill)


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes under the guidance of the head chef
  • Ensure that the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment are clean and organized
  • Maintain quality and consistency by following standardized recipes and procedures
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as per recipes
  • Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages to the supervisor
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of special dishes for events and gatherings
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
