Job Description: HSE Officer

Position: HSE Officer

Salary Range: 6500 AED

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE plans, welfare plans, emergency response procedures, and site-specific HSE procedures and work instructions.
  • Conduct HSE orientation, induction, and awareness sessions for workers.

Inspections and Audits:

  • Conduct regular HSE inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Perform audits and reviews of HSE practices and procedures to ensure continual improvement.

Incident Management:

  • Implement incident reporting and investigation procedures.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Safety Systems and Controls:

  • Implement Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) such as Permit to Work (PTW), Work Method Statements (WMS), and risk assessments.
  • Ensure awareness and practical application of H2S control measures.

Training and Communication:

  • Conduct HSE training programs and workshops to enhance safety awareness and competency among employees.
  • Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and updates effectively across all levels of the organization.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC Group HSE standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on HSE regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure the organization adheres to industry requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Any bachelor’s degree or diploma from an institution authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (subject to approval by ADNOC Group).
  • Additional HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion) are an advantage.
  • Previous ADNOC approval is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE within any industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects/operations/production in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to conduct HSE orientation, induction, and awareness sessions.
  • Understanding and implementation of HSE plans, welfare plans, emergency response procedures/plans, and site-specific HSE procedures/work instructions.
  • Practical experience in implementing SSOW (PTW, WMS, risk assessment, etc.).

Awareness of practical H2S control measures.Ability to conduct HSE inspections.

Proficiency in incident reporting and investigation procedures.

  • Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
