Job Title: E&I Supervisor – Shutdown Project

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced E&I Supervisor to oversee electrical and instrumentation work during a critical shutdown at an oil & gas facility in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shutdown/turnaround projects, preferably in the GCC, and must ensure all work is executed safely, on time, and as per quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, shutdown timelines, and job safety standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance and provide on-site technical guidance.
  • Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and HSE policies.
  • Inspect E&I work for quality and conformity with specifications and standards.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily progress meetings.
  • Interface with project engineers, planners, and QA/QC teams.
  • Manage site reports, work logs, and documentation for handover.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar supervisory role within the oil & gas sector.
  • Proven experience in shutdown/turnaround projects, ideally in Oman or GCC countries.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification, ATEX standards, and instrumentation best practices.
  • Familiar with industry codes such as IEC, NEC, API, and ISA.

Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of HSE procedures and PTW systems
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in high-tempo environments

  • Work Schedule: 10–12 hours/day, 6–7 days/week (as per shutdown plan)
