Job Duties

• Creating websites using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
• Programming, designing and developing content management systems, web services/APIs, backend and administration systems using PHP/MySQL and open-source frameworks E.g. CodeIgniter, Zend, Yii and Slim etc.
• Design application architecture; design and maintain My SQL databases & tables.
• Write clean, well-structured code with proper abstraction and reusability.
• Participate in brainstorming and ideation for new products & features.
• Work collaboratively with other teams.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and techniques using PHP4 and PHP5.
• Good knowledge of AJAX and MySQL.
• Good knowledge of REST and SOAP services.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, HTML 5, XHTML, CSS.
• Debugging, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Technically sound with strong analytical and logical skills. 
• Comfort with numbers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment.
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
• Ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, HTML and PHP.
• Experience in mobile app development will be a plus.
• Proficient in MySQL.
