Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Medical Transcriptionist to join our team in Bangalore. This is a full-time junior position requiring 1-3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing medical documents while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ensuring accurate understanding and transcription of complex medical terms.
- Good Knowledge in Discharge Summary writing
- Keen attention to detail to ensure that all transcriptions are accurate and free of errors.
- Fast and accurate typing speed to efficiently transcribe large volumes of medical information.
- Working knowledge of medical software and the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Excellent listening skills to accurately capture spoken information from physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong command of grammar and punctuation to ensure the clarity and quality of transcriptions.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- A strong sense of confidentiality to protect patient privacy in all medical documents transcribed.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Listen to recorded dictations from doctors and other healthcare professionals and transcribe them into written reports.
- Review and edit transcribed documents for clarity, spelling, punctuation, and grammatical correctness.
- Ensure that all medical records are transcribed accurately and promptly.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all hospital and legal regulations regarding patient information.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to clarify any inconsistencies or uncertainties in the medical transcription.
- File and retrieve transcribed documents as needed, ensuring they are stored securely.
- Keep up-to-date with new medical terminology and advances in the field to ensure the accuracy of transcriptions.
- Provide administrative support to the medical team when required, including the handling of correspondence and documentation.
