Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, analysis, and compliance of the company. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis to management. Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
3. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger system. Reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and ensure proper coding of transactions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
4. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support decision-making. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for management. Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
5. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Perform periodic audits and assessments to identify areas of risk and recommend corrective actions.
6. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax. Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
7. Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews. Provide documentation and support for audit inquiries. Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Recommend and implement changes to systems, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
