Job Overview
We are looking for a talented and experienced South Indian Chef to join our clients . As a South Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic South Indian dishes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This is a senior-level position requiring 7 to 10 years of experience in South Indian cuisine.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a South Indian Chef with 7 to 10 years of experience in a senior role
- In-depth knowledge of traditional South Indian cooking techniques and recipes
- Ability to create, innovate, and develop new South Indian dishes
- Strong understanding of flavor combinations, textures, and presentation in South Indian cuisine
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, and chutneys, according to traditional recipes and standards
- Develop and create new South Indian dishes that are innovative and appealing to our customers
- Ensure the highest quality and taste of all South Indian dishes served
- Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff in South Indian cooking techniques
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients and spices
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute menus
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into South Indian cuisine
- Handle customer inquiries and special requests related to South Indian dishes
