Solinas is a deep tech startup out of IITM focusing on the robotics and digitalisation of assets for the pipeline and sanitation industry. It develops robotic solutions to solve problems of water leakages, pipeline condition management and elimination of manual scavenging.
Solinas products are being designed for Indian challenges (& applications globally) with products like short-range & long-range pipeline inspection and robotic cleaning of Septic Tanks & sewer lines.
We have received numerous awards, including the one by honourable prime minister Narendra Modi as well as from the honourable chief minister of TN, Thiru. MK Stalin.
Our first product, ENDOBOT, is a next-generation tech for internal condition assessment and defect detection in pipelines identifying & analyzing leaks, corrosion, sediments, and dents in critical pipeline infrastructure, using NDT techniques. The products characterize and pinpoint the location of defects in pipelines as well as help municipalities take preventive maintenance actions, thus increasing the efficiency of assets. Along with the swasth dashboard that integrates pipeline data & MIS, we are a smart solution for City wide pipeline management. We have already worked with various clients so far, including WATCO, Voyants & Chennai so far. Our work in Coimbatore has received significant traction over the last year in identifying leaks/contamination and support towards 24*7 water supply.
Our second product, called HOMOSEP, is a robot for automatically cleaning septic tanks, thereby eliminating manual scavenging, a much-needed solution. This is the first-ever septic tank cleaning robot in India that has come out of 3 years of research at IITM with an ability to clean households as well as industrial septic tanks.
