Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Junior Android Developer to join Smiligence_IT's innovative development team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in Android development and will work full-time at our headquarters in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to building top-notch digital products.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Java (Mandatory skill) with a strong understanding of its syntax and APIs, especially in the context of Android development.
• Experience with Kotlin (Mandatory skill) for developing Android applications, focusing on code clarity and maintainability.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs (Mandatory skill) and how to integrate them efficiently within Android applications.
• Good knowledge of Android SDK and the ability to leverage its tools to create robust and scalable Android applications.
• Experience with Firebase services, including real-time database, authentication, and cloud messaging, to enable backend support.
• Hands-on experience with SQLite for local database management and storage solutions within Android applications.
• Proficiency in Git for version control to collaborate efficiently with the team and maintain a structured codebase.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications in collaboration with the design and product teams to ensure functional and aesthetic quality.
• Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance app functionality and user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into the development process.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and consistency within the codebase.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications while implementing necessary improvements and updates.
