Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales growth and brand presence within the FMCG or Pharma sector. This role involves leading a team of sales and marketing professionals, managing budgets, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the successful execution of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve company goals.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. • Create and manage annual sales and marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
2. Sales Management
• Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets. • Establish sales goals, monitor performance, and provide regular reports on sales metrics. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. 3. Marketing and Brand Management
• Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and events.
• Manage brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. • Coordinate with external agencies and vendors for creative and promotional activities. 4. Product Management
• Work closely with product development teams to ensure market needs are met. • Launch new products effectively and manage the lifecycle of existing products. • Analyze product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
5. Customer Insights and Relationship Management
• Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and customer experience. • Develop and implement customer retention programs and loyalty initiatives. • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
• Track and analyze sales and marketing performance metrics.
• Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, marketing campaign effectiveness, and market trends to senior management.
• Adjust strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
• 10-12 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on FMCG or Pharma industries. • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving successful marketing campaigns.
• Experience managing a team and working with cross-functional departments. Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in market research and data analysis.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
