POSITION PURPOSE:
As Asst. Manager - Quality Checker, will have hands-on experience in electronic waste (e-waste) quality assessment and valuation. This role involves visiting seller locations, assessing e-waste quality, and deriving the value that can be generated from the e-waste. He will work with and report to Director-Operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Field Visits: Conduct on-site audits of e-waste at seller locations to evaluate the types, conditions, and quantities of electronic waste.
• Quality Assessment: Assess e-waste based on established quality parameters to determine the condition and potential value of the items.
• Valuation: Provide accurate and competitive pricing for e-waste based on your assessment and current market rates.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, including quality assessments and valuation, and communicate recommendations for procurement.
• Compliance: Ensure all e-waste handling and procurement practices comply with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline the e-waste procurement process and improve overall efficiency.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate / Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Recycling Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an e-waste recycling company or similar role with a focus on e-waste quality checking and valuation.
• Proficiency knowledge of MS-Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and related software / uploading applications.
SKILLS:
• Familiarity with e-waste types, valuable components, and market trends.
• Experience in evaluating and pricing electronic waste.
• Proven ability to conduct field audits and assessments.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess e-waste quality and determine appropriate valuation.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and best practices related to e
waste management.
