Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Design Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of work experience, specializing in UG-NX, CATIA, plastic product design, sheet metal design, automotive interior trim, and assembly drawings. This is a full-time position focused on creating high-quality, innovative design solutions aligned with customer requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in design engineering.
• Proficiency in UG-NX and CATIA software for 3D modeling and design.
• Expertise in plastic product design, including selection of materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Experience in sheet metal design and the ability to create accurate and efficient designs.
• Capability in designing automotive interior trim components with a focus on quality and durability.
• Skill in producing precise assembly drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for innovative design solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and design innovative and cost-effective solutions, based on customer requirements and industry standards.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using UG-NX and CATIA.
• Design plastic and sheet metal components, considering manufacturability and installation requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project objectives and timelines.
• Conduct design reviews, verify and validate designs against project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation for manufacturing processes.
• Use concurrent engineering practices to minimize design cycle times and improve product quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve design solutions.
