Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with expertise in Import Export documentation to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and overseeing import export documentation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance and inform decision-making. 

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, collaborating with department heads and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives. 

Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to ensure compliance with tax regulations, including income tax, GST, customs duties, and other applicable taxes related to import export activities. 

Import-Export Documentation: Manage import-export documentation processes, including preparing and verifying shipping documents, customs declarations, bills of lading, and other required paperwork for international trade transactions.

Customs Clearance: Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes for imported and exported goods, ensuring compliance with import-export regulations and tariff codes. 

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile inventory counts with financial records, and coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.

Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability, particularly in relation to import-export activities and logistics expenses. 

Audit and Compliance: Assist in internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support as required to ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 

Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred. 

Proven experience as an accountant, preferably with knowledge of import-export documentation processes. 

Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation laws. 

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. 

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

Knowledge of import-export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices. 

Familiarity with ERP systems and import-export documentation software is a plus. 

Willingness to stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and import-export regulations.
