Software Engineer - Backend

About role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Software Engineer - Backend to join our team to design and implement scalable and high-performance products.

Responsibilities

•       Develop innovative solutions based on product requirements and business challenges

•       Participate in architectural, design, and product sessions

•       Provide task estimations and deliver quality code on time

•       Drive code reviews, enforce standards & best practices

•       Interface with stakeholders and senior management

•       Research and apply new technologies and best practices

•       Design and create efficient RESTful endpoints for both internal and public consumption

•       Implement efficient solutions that can scale

•       Ensuring Test coverage for the code

Who should apply?

•       2-5 years of experience in Backend development.

•       Strong proficiency in any programming language - JavaScript, Nodejs, Typescript

•       Exposure to serverless, distributed, event-driven, and cloud computing

•       Having data modelling experience in Relational and NoSQL databases.

•       Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

•       Exposure to any cloud platform services such as AWS, Kubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud. etc.

•       Ability to write high performance code

•       Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

•       Experience of Test Driven Development is a plus

•       Having knowledge and experience in the insurance domain will be a big plus.
