Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Shizen Energy India Private Limited. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials and services necessary for our battery pack manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position based in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, India, and we require a junior candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing.


Qualifications and Skills


  • 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of battery pack manufacturing or electrical components is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for battery pack manufacturing.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, deliveries, and suppliers' information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement.
  • Review and compare purchasing options to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any potential issues.
  • Assist in assessing supplier performance and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, new products, and pricing changes to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation for internal review.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines and regulations.
