Job Title: Senior Android Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in Android development and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid educational foundation in engineering and extensive hands-on experience with key mobile development tools and frameworks.

The Role

• Proficient with git and familiar with continuous integration
• Proven knowledge of Android SDK and how to develop and test for different screen sizes.
• Hands-on knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to work with offline storage and threading.
• Familiarity with integrating with RESTful APIs to connect apps with backend services
• Knowledge of open source Android libraries for resolving any common tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud message APIs and Push Notifications
• Good understanding of Google Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with MVVM architecture using Kotlin
• Experience working with Crashlytics and App Center integrations
• Must be able to read code and analyze quickly.
• Good communication skills in English are a must. Should be able to work in IST and PST time zones.
• Exposure to JetPack libraries is a good to have, expecting the candidate to learn this and implement production level code

What we Require

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline is preferred

Experience and Skills:

• Five plus years of experience in:
• Android SDK
• Kotlin
• Four plus years of experience in:
• REST API
• Cloud Messaging
• Crashlytics
• Three plus years of experience in:
• MVVM Pattern
• Room / Realm Database

Additional Requirements:

• Proficiency in handling Git and Bitbucket
• Understanding of continuous integration
