Position: Head of Market Research

Are you passionate about data driven analytics to generate meaningful insights from diverse data sources? If so, then a role in our Analytics & Insights (A&I) organization is for you.

You will directly influence business strategy, product design, pricing, media investments, and much more. We use our boundless curiosity to discover what consumers want, why they want it & how we can influence them through in-depth analysis and good research.

Responsibilities

  1. Market Study: Analyze the total addressable market (TAM) of the category/industry.Identify the target market for the product. This includes defining the demographics of potential customers, such as age, gender, income level, and geographic location.
  2. Gather data on market size: Gather data on the total number of potential customers and the revenue that can be generated by the product. 
  3. Analyze the competitive landscape: Identify the competitors in the market and assess their market share, product offerings, pricing strategy, and distribution channels.
  4. Estimate the growth potential: Based on the market analysis, estimate the potential growth for the D2C brand. This includes identifying trends in the market, customer preferences, and potential new opportunities.
  5. Category Research: Develop fundamental consumer, shopper and market understanding which forms the foundation of all product launches.
  6. Monitor market conditions, trends and competitors to project business consumer demand and plan product launch timing.
  7. Research market conditions to identify potential sales of a product.
  8. Gather, analyze, and interpret marketplace trends and customer data to create marketing and product development strategies.
  9. Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to the management.


Required Skills Sets

  • 5+ years of working experience into handling data sets, market insights. 
  • Market Research experience in D2C/ Ecommerce /Retail industry is preferred.
  • Market understanding in terms of the customer requirements, D2C market research.
  • Good analytical skill sets
  • Expert knowledge of research methodologies & techniques.
