Job Description: Senior Linux Python Tools Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Python Tools Developer to join our dynamic team as an individual contributor. In this role, you will leverage your proficiency in Linux system development and Python to design, develop, and maintain components specifically for building device management solutions for IoT edge devices. Your expertise in Linux systems is crucial for seamless integration and compatibility with target platforms. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Linux components for IoT edge solutions, including network communication, device management, and network and firewall configuration.

Utilize Python and Shell scripting to implement edge solutions and develop Python-based tools for device management.

Implement remote device management solutions using Python-based REST APIs.

Gather requirements and understand the desired functionality for each edge component.

Troubleshoot and debug issues related to edge functionality and integration.

Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Preferred Skills:

Extensive experience with Linux platforms.

Proficiency in packaging edge components using RPM or DEB package managers.

Experience configuring and managing network components, including VPN, DHCP, SSH, DNS, NTP, HTTP/s, and FTP.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools.

Experience with Azure DevOps.

Proficiency in Ansible for automation.

Experience in Python-based automation.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices.

Basic understanding of web development.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux-based Python application development and edge application/tools development.
