We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, well-organised, qualified and committed candidate tojoin our excellent faculty as Vice-Principal. The candidate should be able to support the organisation, management and leadership of the school and to undertake the key duties of a senior leader. The candidate would be expected to use their initiative and judgement within the school’s objectives and to demonstrate accountability.

The Vice-Principal will provide inspiring leadership to ensure an exceptional curriculum intent, implementation, and impact across the school.

The Vice Principal will support and uphold the vision, ethos, principles and policies of the school.

The Vice-Principal will oversee the day-to-day running of the segment Grades I to X.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To develop & implement quality of long, medium and short-term curriculum planning and action plans to enhance the learning experience of students.
  • To play an active role in planning, preparing and executing the Institutional Plan/
  • Perspective Plan/ Forecasting Plan, keeping in mind the overall development of the School.
  • To work with members of the School Leadership in developing, evolving, and embedding HR policies and procedures.
  • To be involved in the process of assessing vacancies for the following year in the
  • respective grade levels.
  • To actively participate in the recruitment process and to give constructive feedback of the candidates assessed to the School Leadership and the Board.
  • To conduct induction programme for the teachers handling classes Nursery to Grade V
  • and brief them on the following:
  • Role of the teacher in these classes
  • Rules and regulations of the school
  • Dress code, personal and professional conduct
  • Use of technology in the classroom and in maintaining records
  • Keeping records and maintaining files and documents
  • Submission of work
  • Help the new teachers in the department to acclimatise themselves in understanding the
  • ethos of the school and the way of functioning in the department.
  • Work collaboratively and implement the education programme with the concerned departments for both curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • The Vice-Principal will work closely with the coordinators to ensure a consistent approach to education and well-being in all areas of the school’s work, policies, and suggest
  • necessary changes and improvisations.
  • To work with the School Leadership to effectively implement, evaluate & improve the
  • Academic plan throughout the year.
  • Establish a culture that promotes excellence, equality, high expectations that nurtures a positive work environment.
  • Be an excellent practitioner and leader with the intent and ability to transform the lives of students. Help each student develop, both personally and academically, so they have the knowledge and skills to progress to an aspirational career.

  • Should possess the ability to mentor teachers on making the school spaces – centres of learning for the students.
  • Organise demonstration lessons within the departments.
  • Take lead in addressing routine concerns pertaining to students, parents, teachers, and hold meetings on demand.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports to the school leadership / concerned authorities/ management in a timely manner.
  • Possesses an innate interest to involve in continuous professional development to be abreast with the latest developments in the field.
  • Effectively lead the team, manage infrastructure and other resources.
  • Develop rapport with the students and handle discipline issues in conjunction with the school leadership.
  • Undertakes special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required
  • Upstanding ethics and integrity.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Latest and updated knowledge on best practices, various teaching methodologies and

developments at National / International level pertaining to academic administration.

  • Expert knowledge on CBSE rules and regulations, academic information, affiliation and procedural issues.

Education Qualification:

  • Excellent academic track record.

  • 3-5 years in the rank of Vice Principal/ Headmistress/ Sr. Coordinator in schools of repute (preferably affiliated to CBSE)
