Position: Head – Supply Chain, Stores and Logistics- chennai - chembarambakkam

Experience: 12-15 years (preferably in machining, casting, forging area with

Managerial Experience for 3-5 years)

Qualification: Under-graduate / Post-Graduate in Engineering, with diploma in

Material Management or inventory Management (Preferable)

Skill sets:

Knowledge of production systems and processes, and paper flow

systems. Skills in various areas of material, including shop floor control,

planning, scheduling, expediting, and purchasing. 

Good Knowledge on sourcing

Steel Castings, Machined parts, and Plastic Injection Moulded parts a must.

Should have exposure to Imports and Exports, Logistics, and stores Management.

Knowledge on ERP / MRP systems.

Job Description

(1) Develop and implement the Supply chain Strategy for the organisation.

(2) Responsible for the Inventory Management and Inventory Reduction

(3) Performs all duties as assigned by the General Manager or Procurement

Directors of the operating Companies.

(4) Identify and Develop sources for new products, items and/or materials.

(5) Implement the YOY cost reduction Strategy for the organisation.

(6) Mange the Vendors and Improvement of the Vendors.

(7) Lead, direct, a team of buyers and other professionals to ensure that

procurement activities meet established targets and standards.

(8) Manage Strategic Sourcing initiatives for region by developing new vendors

through external market research, Spend/Process analysis, and supplier pre-

qualification activities.

(9) Contract negotiation and management.

(10) Manage the Logistics both Local and Imports

(11) Manage the Stores

(12) Assist with creating a zero accident/safety first culture and identify and

capitalize on areas where business can be improved.
