Job Overview
Steward is seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Waiter to join our team at our Benaulim, Colva location. As a fresher-level position, it is ideal for those with 0 to 1 year of work experience looking to grow in the hospitality industry. This is a full-time role that requires passion and an eagerness to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Food and Beverage Knowledge (Mandatory skill) for understanding menu items and providing recommendations to guests.
- Customer Service skills to ensure every guest has a positive and memorable dining experience.
- Strong Attention to Detail to maintain the quality and presentation of the dining area and dishes served.
- Teamwork capabilities to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other waiters for seamless service.
- Problem Solving skills to handle unexpected situations and guest complaints with ease and professionalism.
- Time Management skills to efficiently manage tables, orders, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Adaptability to quickly adjust to varying guest requirements and dynamic work environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Greet and escort customers to their tables with a welcoming and friendly demeanor.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked, including recommending food and drinks.
- Take accurate food and drinks orders using order slips or a POS system.
- Ensure all orders are delivered to the guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Regularly check in with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and service areas throughout shift.
- Perform side duties at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Collaborate with other staff and kitchen team to ensure guests are provided with seamless service.
