Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations:
· Manage union negotiations, labour disputes, and labour grievances.
· Develop strategies to minimize industrial disputes and ensure smooth site operations.
· Work with HR and operations to handle wage disputes and contractor relations.
· Handle legal issues, including litigation and compliance violations, to protect the company’s interest.
· Collaborate with the HSE team to enforce regulations, prevent incidents, and manage risks.
· Address safety or environmental concerns to maintain stakeholder trust.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and environmental groups.
· Coordinate and support to align the CSR initiatives with community needs and company goals.
· Engage proactively with stakeholders to prevent conflicts and secure support for site activities.
· Monitor KPIs related to industrial relations and stakeholder management, providing updates to senior management.
· Analyse data to identify risks and opportunities, adjusting strategies as needed.
· Promote an inclusive work environment and address challenges to ensure workplace harmony.
· Engage with local communities on land use, environmental impact, and resource allocation.
· Develop crisis management plans and act as the primary contact for media and public relations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· At least 12 years of experience in industrial relations, HR, or stakeholder management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
· Strong knowledge of labour laws, HSE regulations, and environmental compliance, with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
