Job Description

As a Database Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining databases that support our medical technology solutions. You will work closely with our development team to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and management across our applications.

Responsibilities:

●           Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to understand project requirements and data needs.

●           Design and develop relational and non-relational databases to store and organize data efficiently.

●           Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to manipulate and retrieve data as needed.

●           Optimize database performance and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

●           Perform database tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve performance issues.

●           Implement data migration, transformation, and integration processes as required.

●           Work with cross-functional teams to define data models, schemas, and architecture.

●           Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, schema, and   processes.

Qualifications:

●           Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

●           5+ years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.

●           Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

●           Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.gMongoDB, Cassandra,Django) is a plus.

●           Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing.

●           Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.

●           Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

●           Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

●           Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

●           Experience working in the healthcare or medical technology industry.

●           Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

●           Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

●           Understanding of data warehousing concepts and techniques.

●           Certification in database administration or related fields is a plus.
