Job Title: Quality Engineer - Composites

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer - Composites to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our composite products, including molded grating and pultruded profiles, by operating UTM testing machines, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control measures.

Responsibilities:

Operate UTM testing machines to perform various tests, including tensile, flexural, and compressive tests as per ASTM standards.

Conduct inspections on moulded grating and pultruded profiles to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality composite products.

Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain documentation of testing procedures, test results, and quality control records.

Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Work closely with other departments, including R&D, to ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.

Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Materials Science) or equivalent.

2+ years of experience in quality engineering, materials testing, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications: FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Polymer) knowledge.

 Experience in operating UTM testing machines with proficiency in testing methods such as tensile, flexural, and compressive tests as per ASTM standards.

Knowledge of production processes, including moulded grating and pultrusion processes.

Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position based in our manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.

The role requires regular interaction with production staff, quality control personnel, and other stakeholders.

Salary scale up to 30k
