BIM-VDC Manager

General

The BIM-VDC manager ( preferably be an Architect/ civil engineer by core training) shall implement all the procedures in BIM and Digital Construction during the design, construction, and handover of a project.

As a BIM manager, shall oversee all the stages in a construction project, from planning and design to construction and completion.

Collaborate with project planners, designers, engineers, quality and quantity surveyors, and many other project stakeholders with the goal of sharing project information and making data-driven decisions.

Role responsibilities:

a. Creating 3D and 4D models (sometimes all the way to 6D) to provide a helping hand to project planners.

b. Assisting estimators and quantity surveyors.

c. Creating 3D logistics plans.

d. Helping engineers create perfect designs with the help of 3D concept imagery.

e. Model health check, review models for sufficiency of information and drive Modelling methodologies for various projects to aid construction.

f. Processing all the information in the cloud and extracting the necessary information as required by various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have

1. Atleast 8 to 10 years of experience working in the BIM-VDC environment with a leading BIM consultancy firm/ real estate developer with exposure to high rise mixed use residential/ hospitality building projects. Strong international experience would be an advantage.

2. Must be capable of leading a team of 6 to 7 BIM modellers for all inhouse works.

3. Strong competency in usage of 3D modelling wnd associated tools- Revit + Navisworks and equivalent for Architectural, Civil finishing, Basic structure, Facade, Civil interiors and MEPF disciplines

4. In depth understanding of all dimensions of project's operational lifecycle ( 3D to 6D) is a strong plus.

5. Knowledge of associated software interfaces like MS Project, Bexel Manager, Vico etc...will be an advantage.

6. Strong IT skills

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8. Strong flair for learning and driving new initiatives in the digital transformation space and passion for technology adoption.
