Job Summary: As an Accountant at Pavan Pipe Corporation you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our operations. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized professional who can ensure accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and support effective decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and expenses.
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgeted targets and provide insights to management.
  1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely payment of bills and invoices, and timely collection of receivables.
  1. Bank Reconciliation:
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
  1. Tax Compliance:
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports for management.
  • Generate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  1. Audit Support:
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  1. Cost Analysis:
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide insights to management on cost trends and variances.
  1. Financial Advisory:
  • Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing financial perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is optional or better to have.
  • Proven experience as an accountant in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
