Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Store Keeper to manage the inventory of both medical and non-medical items at our multi-speciality hospital located in Varachha, Surat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels of medicines, medical equipment, and non-medical supplies such as furniture, fixtures, and other hospital assets. This role is crucial to ensure the seamless operation of the hospital by providing timely availability of all necessary items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock, including medicines, medical equipment, and non-medical items like furniture, lights, and fixtures.
- Regularly update inventory management systems to reflect current stock levels.
- Stock Control:
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Procurement Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement department to ensure timely delivery of items.
- Verify the quality and quantity of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Storage and Organization:
- Ensure that all items are stored safely and organized systematically for easy retrieval.
- Implement proper labeling and categorization of all inventory items.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Keep track of hospital equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Maintain records of equipment warranties and service agreements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, stock movements, and usage patterns.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding storage conditions, especially for sensitive medical supplies.
- Ensure that the storage areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with medical staff to understand their inventory needs and address any shortages promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance department for budgeting and cost control measures.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience as a Store Keeper or Inventory Manager in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Good communication skills in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with hospital inventory protocols and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for storing medical supplies and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (if applicable).
