We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant with over a decade of experience to join our dynamic IT team in Hyderabad, focusing on the Procurement business domain. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our SAP landscape, ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems. Your expertise in SAP Basis administration, coupled with a solid understanding of DevOps practices, will be crucial in driving innovation and excellence within our cross-functional and cross-domain teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Basis Administration:

• Oversee and manage SAP environments, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and more.
• Lead system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patch management.
• Optimize and tune SAP systems for peak performance.
• Ensure system availability, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

2. System Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Continuously monitor SAP systems for performance, security, and bottlenecks.
• Implement robust SAP security policies and conduct regular audits.
• Perform regular health checks to maintain system integrity.

3. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Provide expert-level support for complex SAP Basis issues.
• Collaborate across functional and technical teams to resolve critical problems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring issues.

4. Database Administration:

• Manage and optimize SAP databases, including HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient database performance.

5. BTP & Cloud Connector Configuration:

• Administer SAP BTP accounts, services, and users.
• Manage connections, databases, and monitoring within SAP BTP environments.
• Implement SAP BTP tasks and ensure smooth cloud operations.

6. SAP Security:

• Manage role modifications, naming conventions, and authorization matrices.
• Oversee user access management and enforce security protocols.
• Regularly lock user accounts as part of security procedures.

7. DevOps and Automation:

• Implement automation tools to streamline SAP Basis operations.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance system reliability.
• Optimize workflows through innovative DevOps practices.

8. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations and processes.
• Ensure all systems and procedures comply with organizational policies and industry standards.

9. Leadership and Mentorship:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire junior SAP Basis administrators.
• Provide technical guidance and training to elevate team performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (SAP Certified Technology Associate, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Proven expertise in SAP installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Solid understanding of SAP HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and other SAP modules.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in SAP system monitoring and tuning tools.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Fiori.
• Proficiency in programming languages (ABAP, Java, Python) for automation.
• Prior leadership experience within an SAP Basis team.
• Advanced DevOps skills, including infrastructure as code and configuration management.
