Experience Required: 3–6 years | Must have raised $1M+ in pre-seed or early-stage rounds in education or impact sectors
About Us
We are a mission-driven organization working to bridge the education divide in India. With a proven model, early traction, and deep community roots, we are now poised for rapid growth. Backed by educators, technologists, and grassroots leaders, our work sits at the intersection of impact and innovation.
We are now preparing to scale nationally — and capital is key. This role is a rare opportunity for someone who has been at the frontlines of early-stage fundraising and is ready to shape the trajectory of an ambitious, purpose-led organization.
Why This Role Matters
This is not a support role. You will lead our capital raise strategy and own high-stakes investor conversations. You will bring in catalytic capital, deepen our credibility, and help us secure the partners we need to take our solution to thousands more children.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Capital Strategy
- Lead end-to-end fundraising efforts, especially pre-seed and seed rounds.
- Develop and execute a targeted investor engagement strategy — from angels and VCs to CSR heads and philanthropic foundations.
- Own the preparation of investment materials: pitch decks, financial models, due diligence documents, and data rooms.
- Negotiate term sheets and coordinate with legal/compliance teams during closing.
Investor Relations & Stewardship
- Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with current and potential investors.
- Provide consistent, high-quality updates, reporting, and performance briefs.
- Represent the organization in pitch events, funder summits, and strategic meetings with confidence and clarity.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Sourcing
- Monitor fundraising trends in the education and impact investing ecosystem.
- Identify new funding opportunities (domestic and global), track open calls, and build a pipeline of aligned investors.
- Leverage data and outcomes to shape compelling narratives around growth and impact.
Who You Are
- Proven Fundraiser: You’ve successfully raised $1M+ in early-stage capital, ideally in the education, ed-tech, or social impact space.
- Pre-Seed Pro: You understand the nuances of fundraising when the product is still evolving, and the team is small but driven.
- Strategic Thinker: You can see the bigger picture and design fundraising efforts that match the organization’s growth ambitions.
- World-Class Communicator: Whether writing an email, pitching on Zoom, or standing in a boardroom — you inspire confidence and clarity.
- Mission-Aligned: You care deeply about equity in education and are energized by the possibility of system-level change.
Preferred Experience
- Background in early-stage startups, education nonprofits, or blended finance models.
- Familiarity with investor CRMs (Airtable, HubSpot), data visualization tools, and virtual pitch platforms.
- Experience working directly with founders or CXOs on fundraising and growth strategy.
What We Offer
- A high-trust, high-autonomy culture where your leadership can shape the future.
- Direct collaboration with founders and decision-makers.
- An opportunity to raise and deploy capital that drives deep, measurable impact in children’s lives.
- Competitive compensation with performance incentives and future ESOP eligibility.
