Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar PV design and renewable energy systems, with the ability to develop detailed designs, drawings, and layouts for various projects. The Design Executive will collaborate with sales, engineering, and technical teams to ensure that our projects are executed to the highest standards and meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaboration: Work with sales, engineering, and technical teams to understand project requirements, client specifications, and site conditions for solar rooftop installations and other renewable energy projects.
2. Design Development: Create detailed designs, drawings, and layouts for solar PV systems, solar water heating systems, and EV charging infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
3. Software Utilization: Use design software and tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst to develop accurate and precise design models, including site plans, elevation drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.
4. Site Assessments: Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information, assess site conditions, and identify potential design constraints or challenges, incorporating site-specific considerations into design plans.
5. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to review and refine design proposals, address technical queries, and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
6. Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical support and assistance to sales and business development teams during the pre-sales phase, including preparing design proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation to support project bids and proposals.
7. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in solar PV design and renewable energy systems, incorporating innovative design solutions and advancements into project designs where applicable.
8. Procurement Support: Work with procurement and supply chain teams to specify and procure required materials, components, and equipment for project implementation, ensuring compatibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness of selected products.
9. Post-Installation Support: Support post-installation activities, including commissioning, testing, and performance monitoring, to ensure that installed systems meet design specifications, performance criteria, and customer expectations.
10. Team Development: Mentor and train junior design team members, providing guidance, feedback, and technical expertise to foster their professional development and enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in solar PV design and renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PVsyst.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in solar PV design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical queries and design-related issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information and assess site conditions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise design models.
