Position Summary:

To revolutionize healthcare access and quality, we seek a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), to extract valuable insights from our industry-leading healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities:

·      LLM Development and Fine-tuning: Refine and adapt LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama2, Mistral) for specific healthcare applications like text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, summarization, and question answering.

·      Data Engineering: Collaborate with data engineers to build efficient data pipelines, ensuring the quality and integrity of large-scale text datasets for LLM training and fine-tuning.

·      Model Development and Evaluation: Design, build, and evaluate predictive models, including survival models in oncology, using machine learning and deep learning techniques.

·      Production Deployment: Work with MLOps and Data Engineering teams to integrate models into scalable production systems.

·      Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, domain experts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into data science solutions.

·      Knowledge Sharing: Mentor team members and stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and LLMs.

Required Qualifications:

·      Advanced Degree: Doctoral or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

·      Proven Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning and deep learning models.

·      LLM Expertise: 3+ years  of in-depth experience working with LLMs, proficiency in Python, and NLP-focused libraries (spaCy, NLTK, Transformers, TensorFlow/PyTorch).

·      Cloud Proficiency: Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
