Role: Digital Ink Handwriting Tech Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement software algorithms to enhance the freeform handwriting experience on eInk and tablet devices, focusing on responsiveness, accuracy, and latency reduction.

2. Optimize existing algorithms and develop new techniques to improve handwriting recognition, palm rejection, and overall writing performance on eInk displays.

3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues related to writing technology implementation.

4. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in eInk and handwriting technology and incorporate relevant innovations into the writing technology stack.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers, to ensure seamless integration of handwriting technology with device hardware and user interface.

Required Skills and Qualifications"

1. Familiarity with eInk display technology and its unique characteristics, such as refresh rates and ghosting.

2. Familiarity with digital handwriting technologies, algorithms and solutions being used and developed in existing tablets and devices.

3. Experience with low-level firmware development for eInk controllers or similar embedded systems.

4. Experience in software engineering, focused on developing algorithms for digital writing or similar applications.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions. 6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders from various departments.

Preferred Qualification:

1. Contributions to open-source projects or research publications related to digital handwriting or eInk technology.
