Job Title: State HR Manager

Reporting To: Head – Store Operations

Value Stream: People, Culture and Infrastructure

Location: Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Role Purpose: The State HR Manager is responsible for supporting business operations by ensuring talent availability as per the dimensioning norms, creating a talent pipeline for business expansion, and facilitating staff and manager career progression as per the career development program.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop strategies for a steady supply of talent for operational stores and NSO.
  • Monitor and review people productivity norms and suggest course corrections.
  • Create a work environment for high performance through engagement and development.

Project Management and Financial Planning & Budgeting:

  • Monitor AOP for Staff Count and Cost.
  • Evaluate ABM, MD for operational and NSO.

People Management:

  • Build a strong internal talent pipeline through CMIT / SMIT/DMIT Bench.
  • Review workforce plan and make changes based on business priorities.
  • Develop internal career progression and create visibility and training for high performers.
  • Motivate teams to improve productivity, drive engagement in the team, and build a culture of high performance and meritocracy.

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  • Adhere to HR SOP’s, guidelines and company policies.
  • Ensure closure of all HR related activities as per defined SLA’s for life cycle management.
  • Assist in the timely closure of payroll processes and inputs.
  • Manage retiral and employee benefits.
  • Keep abreast of best HR practices, policies and guidelines.

Customer Centricity:

  • Resolve employee queries and grievances within specified timelines.
  • Provide / Share information to the concerned team as and when required.

Outcomes & KPIs:

  • 100% Statutory and internal compliance adherence.
  • Attrition SM< 10% / DM < 10% / CSA < 48%.
  • Ensure 99.5% staffing of Managers at all times and 95% staffing at CSA level.
  • 7 Parameters as per the Hygiene Dashboard to be > 85%.
  • Cost reduction by 5% point.

Delegation of Authority:

  • The State HR Manager has the primary responsibility for developing talent supply strategies, creating a high-performance work environment, monitoring AOP for Staff Count and Cost, evaluating ABM, MD for operational and NSO, implementing an effective Employee Relations system, ensuring adherence to HR SOP’s, keeping abreast of best HR practices, building robust processes for employee life cycle management, timely closure of employee grievances, and creating effective strategies to improve employee engagement.
