Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Retail Planner for our Premium Brands Cohort at Reliance Retail, headquartered in Mumbai. This full-time, mid-level position requires a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of work experience. The role focuses on managing demand forecasting, optimizing inventory, and planning assortments for premium brands to enhance our retail operations and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience of 4-6 years in retail planning, specifically within the premium brands segment for enhanced strategic planning.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting to efficiently predict product demand trends for optimal inventory management (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in inventory optimization techniques to minimize costs and enhance product availability (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience in assortment planning to tailor product mixes that meet consumer demands while maximizing sales (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong data analysis skills using Excel for effective decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Experience with SAP Retail for comprehensive management of retail processes and enhancement of operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with merchandising software to streamline and automate assortment planning processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and enhance product offerings.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for demand forecasting and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with premium brand partners to plan assortments that align with market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Monitor sales trends and adjust forecasts and inventory plans accordingly to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
  • Utilize SAP Retail and other merchandising tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms that enhance product offerings and margins.
  • Analyze market data and consumer behavior to drive decisions that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Enhance supply chain processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and service levels.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
