Job Purpose:

A Fashion Consultant in the retail industry plays a critical role in enhancing customer experience and driving sales by offering personalized styling advice.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Styling and Personalization

• Understand clients’ style preferences, body types, and lifestyle needs to offer tailored fashion advice.
• Guide customers in selecting outfits, accessories, and footwear that suit them best.

Product Knowledge and Trends

• Stay updated on current fashion trends, seasonal collections, and product details.
• Educate customers on brand offerings, materials, and product features.

Sales and Upselling

• Assist in achieving sales targets by recommending additional items and creating complete looks.
• Promote special deals or limited-edition collections to encourage purchases.

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
• Keep a client book with customer preferences and purchase history for follow-ups and exclusive previews.

Visual Merchandising Support

• Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to maintain an attractive, brand-aligned store display.
• Ensure products are well-presented and styled to appeal to target customers.

Inventory and Stock Monitoring

• Help monitor stock levels, suggesting restocks or reorders of popular items.
• Ensure fitting rooms are managed efficiently and items are returned to display in an organized manner.

Customer Feedback Collection

• Gather insights from customers about preferences, experiences, and suggestions to relay back to management.
• Use feedback to refine product recommendations and improve service quality.

Brand Representation

• Act as a brand ambassador, demonstrating brand values and standards in every interaction.
• Exhibit professionalism and enthusiasm to create a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

• Retail Experience: 1-2 years of experience in retail sector.
• Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales strategies.

Skills & Competencies:

• Problem-Solving Skills: Creative solutions for styling challenges, such as finding alternatives when items are unavailable. Ability to address and resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to balance multiple customers and tasks, especially during busy times. Ability to work efficiently while providing a high level of service.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate goals, provide feedback, and communicate clearly with both the team and customers.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adjust styling suggestions based on client reactions and feedback. Openness to learning new styling techniques and staying updated on fashion trends.
