Job Overview
We are seeking a Department Manager for our retail operations in Kozhikode and Kannur. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The chosen candidate will be an integral part of our store management team, ensuring superior customer service and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team to achieve set goals.
- Visual Merchandising: Ability to create attractive displays that enhance the customer's shopping experience.
- Department Manager: Prior experience in managing a department within a retail environment.
- Apparel: Knowledge of apparel retailing and trends, critical for managing sections related to fashion and lifestyle.
- Showroom: Familiarity with showroom operations including customer service and inventory management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to drive performance and engage team members positively.
- Floor Management (Mandatory skill): Expertise in overseeing the sales floor operations, ensuring smooth functioning.
- Customer Service: Ability to ensure high standards of customer service to achieve customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and operational metrics.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales associates to deliver excellent customer service and to foster a positive team environment.
- Create visually appealing and effectively arranged merchandise displays to attract customers and drive sales.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Implement corporate and store strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and consistency in operations.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to develop strategies that drive sales growth and improve profit margins.
- Collaborate with other store departments to support overall store functions and performance goals.
