2. Job Purpose

Develop and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies to ensure quality and profitability for the assigned category.


3. Key Responsibilities

  • 3.1. Anticipate future needs and demands by analyzing trends and market data.
  • 3.2. Analyze retail market, competitors to develop strategic sourcing strategy and business goals.
  • 3.3. Enlarge existing business base and bring new business to the company.
  • 3.4. Analyze and monitor brand pricing, assortment at store level, brick level performance.
  • 3.5. Support business with efficacy reports based on all tracked parameters to enable right buying decisions.
  • 3.6. Be a role model for employees by aligning actions and day-to-day behaviors in accordance with Reliance Retail values.
  • 3.7. Articulate key performance indicators and competency requirements for team members.
  • 3.8. Coach and mentor, provide challenging assignments and high visibility training for high performers.
  • 3.9. Manage the end-to-end relationship with each vendor/brand in the sub-category (change management, contract negotiations, payment queries, classifications, evaluations, etc.).
