Position: Bank Reconciliation Specialist (BRS)


Experience Level: 4 to 8 years in Treasury Department

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Reconciliation Specialist (BRS) to join our Treasury Department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and accounting, with proven experience in bank reconciliation processes. As a BRS, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by reconciling bank statements with our internal accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
  2. Identify and investigate variances between bank statements and internal records, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, and other discrepancies.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding items and discrepancies, including finance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.
  4. Monitor and analyze bank balances and cash flow positions to identify potential issues or discrepancies and take appropriate corrective actions.
  5. Prepare and maintain documentation of reconciliation processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, providing accurate and timely information to management and stakeholders.
  7. Develop and implement process improvements to streamline bank reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  8. Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technology advancements related to bank reconciliation processes, and implement relevant changes as necessary.
  9. Provide training and support to junior staff members on bank reconciliation procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in bank reconciliation processes, preferably in a treasury or finance environment.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  4. Must have SAP Exposure
