JOB DESCRIPTION- To conduct technology upgradation & improvement activities as per defined CTS plan for engineering, procurement and operations team with the objective of driving best in class process safety, reliability, costs and environmental performances List of responsibilities attached to the role are documented below. These responsibilities are representative and the role holder is also responsible for any other job assigned by the superior authorities from time to time. It should capture only the key responsibilities of the role SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities Policies, Processes and Procedures - Follow applicable HSEF procedures/ practices with awareness about environmental statutory regulations and safety protocols. Take part in process safety management activities - Liaise with other site functions to ensure that reliability and safety of operations is maintained and the production targets are met - Keep self abreast with leading technology advancements & trends. Participate in trainings to enhance competencies and knowledge Technology Operations - Execute end-to-end CTS plan, technology improvement processes as per set milestones for pilot/ scale up studies - Review all related engineering documents and conduct process engineering work as per plan - Provide technology input for the root cause analysis of complex process/ engineering issues - Evaluate feedstock/ chemical/ additive/ catalyst/ fuelson performance and report deviations - Design technical integrity of all changes/ plant modifications as per set technical standards and guidelines - Develop, validate, customize & maintain simulation/ APC models - Create/ update MIS reports as well as other technology comparison reports Process Innovation - Anticipate constraints/ trends in internal technology and product application range. Recommend alternatives for implementation - Define improvements and upgrades in existing processes/ equipment/ technologies to achieve higher capacity and process efficiency - Support implementation of plant improvement projects Metrics that are used to evaluate the success / performance of the role; specific targets do not need to be included as those would change from Y-o-Y SECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICS - Yield improvement % - Time to resolution - Automation Index - Mean time Between Faliures - # of APC performance reports - Achieve level 5 conformance on applicable standards Key Interactions: Internal S&OR, CES teams, Site teams, HR, Finance etc. External Vendors, Auditors, Consultants etc. Key interactions which are essential to execute the role. This will include both internal and external stakeholders SECTION V: OPERATING NETWORK Minimum qualification, technical competencies and capabilities which are essential to execute the role. It may not be a reflection of job holder's own qualification and competencies SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES Education Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) Experience Upto 3 years of industrial experience, with at least exposure in experience in chemical/ petrochemical/ refinery industry FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Functional / Behavioral competencies required to execute the role
