SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To execute end-to-end Jetty Operational polices and standard operating procedures by implementing safe and efficient Vessel unloading/loading activities for all kind of products, adhering to routine inspections & checks of vessels as per established guidelines thereby ensuring clean and contamination free handling of cargo in alliance to RIL's overall goals & objectives.


SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

Responsibilities


Policies, Processes and Procedures

- Conduct day-to-day activities related to jetty operations & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions do that work is carried out in a consistent and controlled manner.

- Keep self abreast with trends in jetty operation practices, technology advancements and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of jetty systems, processes and procedures.


Jetty Operations

- Carry out day-to-day jetty operations in accordance with goals set down to achieve maximum efficiency and ensuring that products enter and leave the terminal with minimal loss, ensuring clean and contamination free handling of cargo.

- Perform engineering planning and assessments of marine facilities including berthing, mooring, cargo-handling, fire protection, pollution prevention and other facilities.

- Conduct mooring and unmooring operations and aligining of vessel to keep vessel within operating limits of loading arm

- Ensure timely communication with the ship for the details of Expected Time of Arrival (ETA), berthing & un-berthing, manifold connection, cargo quantity, draught and berthing & un-berthing activities.

- Perform all essential inspections & checks including ship shore checklist, safety checklist, cargo safety check list, vessel inspection, firefighting equipment & system healthiness check, check for required certificates & documents as per with international/national standards & guidelines as per the oil tankers and terminal body.

- Ensure connection and disconnection of Marine loading arms and performance checks

- Perform periodic checks as per ship shore safety checklist for safe cargo operation


Jetty Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Documentations

- Keep records of all products discharging details, complete required ship-shore documentation work, update and maintain the Daily and Monthly Log for all system as per plan.

- Co-ordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, quality control, store, safety and other department on daily basis. Follow up with Maintenance & Instrumentation teams for preventive maintenance schedule and maintaining equipment healthiness.

- Troubleshoot issues/concerns arising at the jetty on time and take corrective actions in line witrh established guidelines and procedures.


Compliance, Safety & Audit

- Perform operational assessments to assist facilities with risk management activities and assuring compliance with industry/company standards

- Ensure that all activities carried out at tanker jetty areas, are undertaken in a safe and environmentally correct manner, striving for zero accidents and near misses.

- Assist in audits, drill, training, safety awareness with all jetty persons & crafts. Manage operations in compliance with Jetty Operating Policies and Procedures.

- Implement and monitor a facility inspection plan to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.


SECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICS (TOP 3-5 KPI's)

- Load Arm Connection Time  - Shipshore Checklist Adherence ( in different conditions) - Vessel information in the system - Inspection Accuracy - Safety Compliance - Audit non-compliance (zero)

External: - Vessel Crew, Auditors, Regulatory Bodies


SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

Education Qualifications

- Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical / Instrumental / Electrical) or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Instrumental / Electrical)

Experience (Must Have & Good to Have)

- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar domain


Functional / Behavioural competencies required to execute the role
