Job Accountabilities 

• To apply engineering principles for basic design analysis within discipline and prepare deliverables according to design standards and guides of process department.
• To deliver the basic engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications PFDs, P&IDs, Datasheets etc.
• To prepare conceptual sketches, specifications and data sheets within discipline
• To perform calculations like Equipment / Unit sizing, pump hydraulics, control valve sizing, heat and material balance etc.
• To participate in model reviews, HAZOP studies, technical audits.
• To assist in review of supplier documentation for compliance with specifications
• To coordinate technical documents with other disciplines
• To perform intra discipline coordination
• To manage deliverables as per schedule adhering to quality.
• To supervise the calculations /engineering deliverables generated by trainee engineers.
• To train and mentor Trainee engineers.
• To ensure that health safety and environment and quality assurance procedures are followed during all contracts /assignments.

Skills Required

• Familiar with National & State level Standards / Norms of Pollution control Boards
• Familiar with various treatment process and design parameter for Water & Wastewater treatment plant, Water Reuse & Recycle Plant for Petroleum Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas & Chemical Industry.
• Good knowledge in hydraulic calculation, control valve calculation etc. using software like KORF or any other equivalent or from first principles.
• Good knowledge in Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) sizing calculation based on software or from first principles.
• Should be able to work independently on engineering deliverables like Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), line list, cause & effect diagram, process datasheets, battery limit schedule, process datasheet for instruments (IPDS), tie-in list etc.
• Familiar with vendor document review based on defined scope & project specifications.
• Knowledge of working within budget timelines & project schedule.

Qualification:

• Degree in Chemical / Environment Engineering from accredited college or university

Experience:

• 2-6 years minimum detail engineering experience in Hydrocarbon/ other heavy industries.
