Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. As a 

Purchase Engineer, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and 

services necessary for our projects. The successful candidate requires a strong technical background, 

excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities

     Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of 

materials, equipment, and services required for project execution

     Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate terms and conditions to 

establish mutually beneficial supplier relationships

     Obtain latest rates from suppliers, Evaluate supplier quotations and proposals, Negotiate 

pricing, terms, and conditions

     Process Purchase Orders, prepare BOMs, 

     To get material on time, follow-up with vendors and suppliers, Send back rejected material to 

Supplier.

     Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier 

information, and pricing agreements

Education

BA / B.Com / Diploma 

Desired Candidate Profile

     Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a project-based 

manufacturing or engineering company (e.g., water industry, food industry, oil and gas 

industry, etc)

     Proficiency in M.S Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

     Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.

     Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to 

manage multiple projects simultaneously.

     Ability to work with minimal supervision.

     Willingness to travel frequently to supplier and vendor locations and industry events, as 

required.
