Job Description:

1. Setting up and upkeep of small laboratory animal facility (vivarium) and preparing vivarium for getting various accreditations i.e. CPCSEA, AAALACi, OECD GLP, NABL etc.

2. Setting up / upkeep of in-house breeding facility for small animals and dogs.

3. Responsible for overseeing of the small laboratory animal facilities, support functions and operations which include Breeding of different strains of rodents, Monitoring the care and use of animals, animal husbandry practices, Veterinary care, Sanitization practices, import of animals and quarantine of animals.

4. Maintaining the foundation colony with pedigree chart and known genetic status of out bred, inbred and transgenic animals.

5. Planning and executing the breeding programme of rats and mice strains as per requirement of end users.

Education:

Diploma/ Graduate/Post Graduate in Science or Pharma or Food Technology Bachelors Degree in Science preferably Food / Pharma Chemistry equivalent technical and business experience.
