Responsibilities:

• Ensure standard guidelines and protocols of patient care are followed in the Pediatric Cardiac ICUs and shift
• Treat patients in Pediatric Cardiac ICU; admit, investigate, perform treatment procedures as applicable as per the approved clinical privileges within the organization during the assigned shift.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, doctors, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff for management of clinical care across the Pediatric Cardiac ICU units and shift
• Should triage patients, prioritize admissions and maintain a waiting list to ensure that intensive care will be available to patients who most deserve and are most likely to benefit from intensive care
• Collate and analyze records, reports, test results and physical examination information to diagnose disease of the patient
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized comprehensive medical care to treat / prevent / limit illness, disease, or injury, identify patient’s risk status and recommend appropriate intervention to minimize risk.
